Best stay in my North Island vacation! Very nice place, nice staff and many things to see and do! If I go back to NZ this is the place I'm staying at!

we were originally booked for three days but liked the hostel and Margaret, Steve and Richard so much we stayed for eleven. We had a wonderful time in New Zealand and plan to come back again for a third visit (if they will have us!)

Dear friends, In March 2006 we spend two nights in your lovely, cosy and very clean hostel. We enjoyed our sightseeiing on Coromandel and we (58 and 55 years old) had nice talks with young people from all over the world in your cosy lounge. We only have seen a few parts of beautiful NZ so we have to come back and anchor for sure in "on the beach backpackers lodge". Nice regards and greetings from Henk and Vera

Hi all, We are back in England now, seeing Eileen almost daily. She is well, looking for a university course on flower arranging at the moment. The main reason for calling was to say a great big thank you for your hospitality. We really enjoyed ourselves despite a couple of days rain. To anyone else reading this, there is no better place to stay on North Island. Bye

My boyfriend and I stayed back in 2001 and had a great time then. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful in giving us as much information on everything we wanted to do. We recommend borrowing a spade to go digging on Hot water Beach, it's very surreal!!
